Our head coach, ALEX VARBANOV has devoted over 35 years to the sport of Olympic Weightlifting and has built a strong reputation of a weightlifting professional.
At the age of 18, he's already five time Canadian Junior Champion in three different categories.
Nick is also a Registered Massage Therapist and specializes in sports massage, injury management/prevention.
Full (2-hour) Training Session. Initial mobility / Lifting skills, assessment, demonstration of the lifts, verbal explanation, full break down of the lifts and accessory exercise
One-hour private training session. The focus will be on improving a single lift, or major technical flaw
Written Training Program. Alex / Niki will design a written program for up to 8-10 weeks for you
Wednesday: 6:15 pm – 8:30/9:00 pm (coach Alex/Nick Varbanov)
Friday: 5:30 pm – 8:30/9:00 pm

Saturday: 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm

The monthly membership covers all coached training sessions, team T-shirt, competition coaching, training program (upon request for the no-show days)
Drop-in sessions MUST be booked in advance.
Contact us via email, text or phone to inquire about different day/time for your drop-in. Such requests will be honoured only if spots are available.
These are group sessions, great for people with some weightlifting experience and looking for a little more technique work.
Weightlifting is one of the oldest sport activities practiced from ancient times (Old Greece, Rome, and China).
The late 1800’s are considered the beginning of modern weightlifting. Nowadays, it is one of the most competitive summer Olympic sports in the world.
