What is massage therapy?

Massage Therapy is a broad term used to describe the different ways in which soft tissue can be manipulated and treated in order to increase functional range of motion, increase joint mobility, decrease pain + stress, provide full body relaxation and maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.

What is a sports massage?

Sports massage offers various treatment approaches including: deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, active release therapy, cupping therapy, functional range assessment and functional range conditioning, for a combined effort to prevent and manage injuries in athletes or the general public. The sports massage approach is best suited for individuals looking to rehabilitate from a past or current injury, as well as individuals looking to relax and recover from their physical lifestyle.

What to expect during your appointment:

During your scheduled appointment, Nick will start by running through a health history and pain interview to gather some information about why you are seeking massage therapy. From there, a physical and functional assessment will follow which will give insight on how to provide the most safe and effective treatment for your condition(s). Once Nick has communicated his treatment plan and approach, your massage will begin!
